EmpowerHer's approach to addressing period poverty is built around two key interventions, each designed to solve a different part of the problem. Rather than relying on a single solution, the initiative evolves from immediate support to long-term independence, ensuring both access and sustainability.

FlowKit was designed to provide immediate menstrual hygiene support to girls who lack access to essential resources. It focuses on ensuring safe, hygienic, and comfortable menstrual management.

What's inside

  • 60 sanitary pads (3-month supply)
  • 2 hand sanitizers
  • 1 pack of wet wipes
  • 10 paper-based disposal bags
  • 5 herbal tea bags (for comfort and relief)
  • 1 hot water bottle (for pain management)

The FlowLab Kit represents the next step in EmpowerHer's mission—moving from access to independence. Instead of only providing products, this kit enables girls to create their own reusable cloth menstrual products, ensuring long-term sustainability.

What's inside

  • 3 PUL layers (1 for each pad)
  • 6 cotton fleece layers (2 for each pad)

One pouch with the following:

  • A roll of thread
  • Needle attached to the thread
  • 6 velcro pieces (3 pairs – 1 for each pad)
  • 1 thread cutter
  • 1 instructional guide
Through guided workshops, girls learn to assemble, use, wash, and reuse their own cloth pads — linked to Learning Hub video guides.
